
Jim Kelman

Jim Kelman has served as a Senior Public Diplomacy Advisor at the U.S. Department of State and was a seasoned director of exchange programs at the Korea-US Science Cooperation Center. Jim has served in the Public Diplomacy cone and been posted to Singapore, Manama, Cairo, Vienna, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Bangkok, and Hanoi. He was a Senior PD Advisor in the International Security and Nonproliferation Bureau. He has had extensive experience managing public affairs activities, congressional relations and served for several years as the Acting Director of the Exchange Visitor (J-1) Program.
Jim is recently retired from Meridian International Center in Washington, D.C. as a Program Director, and serving as a Board Member of AASuccess., a non-profit organization dedicated to youth development. Jim comes to us with more than 25 years of experience as a diplomat, leader and coach in education, policy, and non-profits.
Jim received his BA in Government/International Relations from Clark University and his MPA in Public Affairs/International Affairs from the University of Connecticut.
